Happy Hempys
This nappy is made of 2 layers of Hemp Fleece which is 55% hemp 45% cotton. They have elastic at the legs and back to allow for a snug yet comfortable fit. At the back the two layers are left open to form a pocket which you can stuff with additional absorbency as required. The benefit to Happy Hempys is that you decide what to stuff them with and how much, according to the needs of your baby. (Inserts must be purchased separately) Fastens with Aplix brand hook and loop closures which fit a wide range of babies and allow quick changes on wiggly babies. The hemp is more absorbent weight for weight than cotton, so this nappy is quite trim but can be boosted to suit for heavier wetters, even with boosting it's not as bulky as you'd expect. You can add a fleece liner for dryness for overnight use.Happy Hempys have been prewashed to remove oily build up and to help prevent shrinkage, although they may shrink a small amount. Wash at 40 or 60, relatively quick drying as they are only 2 layers.
